Just Around the Corner

Need a good verse...still thinking...

I can't stop from dwelling on the fact that spring break is next week!!! My little sister and I will be taking our first road trip to go home to Yuma. Hopefully all will go smoothly on the drive there and back. It will be great to spend the time with my sister before she starts her big adventure to college. I'm so proud of her yet sad that she's growing up...it seems like yesterday we were playing house and dress up together! It's absolutely crazy how fast life is passing by these days. One more year till I graduate college. Then I decide on an internship. And then a REAL job! Goodness! Who knows, maybe God has a family planned for me soon after. Anyways, back to spring break. I get to see my best friends and have my own fun agenda for a week. The itinerary includes: Yuma County Fair, Cali Beach, hiking, seeing old friends, visiting with family, reminiscing at childhood favorite spots...ooo! maybe the river! It's still a work in progress. Best of all, I get to see my best friends. Did I mention that? I am looking forward to a week of non-school related activities and a chance to get away from everything. The only downer is that I have a test the tuesday after spring break. Boo. Music history teacher, bad decision. What is he thinking??? Which leads me to my next point.

I hate the week before spring break...or any break for that matter. It's always the busiest. All of the teachers try to cram in the last test or assignment. Which is exactly what I should be doing right now: writing a research paper, finishing a big assignment for class, studying for a test...but all I can seem to think about is what I will be doing next week. For some odd reason this morning I was thinking about taxes...weird. But nonetheless, I do not seem to want to focus on homework. Come to think of it, that's why I am writing on my blog. I seem to think that writing on here actually makes a difference in someone's life. Kind of selfish...but maybe somebody actually wants to know what's going on with me. Maybe not. But I write to you anyways.

So, pray for me and my little sister as we make our adventure to the southwest. We head out Sunday morning and will be gone for a week. It should take about 21 hours and 4 minutes, give or take. Thank you Mapquest. Oh and no GPS. So if anyone has one that would be gracious and let us borrow it, that might save on some disaster, seeing as this girl is prone to taking "wrong turns." Ugh. We'll manage I guess.

Well, it's off to class for me! 5 sleeps and counting till the big road trip! Woohoo!
